Buenos Aires. Present date. The city seen through other eyes, those of whom recently weren’t from around there. Three stories intertwine reconstructing a past that recomposes in front of our eyes and makes us wonder and reflect about the reasons that push someone to migrate.
These are the real stories of Mustafa, adolescent, street vendor from Liberia who was still underage when he came to the city, just 2 years ago; Omar, Bolivian, handicapped, has been in Argentina for over 20 years and owns a food stand these days; and Ayumi, a young street-dance teacher and Japanese descendant. Buenos Aires links them. The significance of work, the absence of a past is no longer theirs and the search of identity too.
Between here and there, now and then but always looking forward, these three characters are united by a common purpose in this documentary: the search of identity in a city that still explores its own.
